As a new blogger/follower, I see tons of contests that I can enter to win all kinds of goodies. From shoes to shampoo, pet food to pyrotechnics (okay, maybe not pyrotechnics) you can win it all. Where do you draw the line? Do you enter a contest just to enter, or do you only enter to win the prizes you'd genuinely love to have? Let me know how you decide whether or not an entry is worth your time!
I'm doing my best to stick to entering only for things I would love to win! For example, check out this Guidecraft Transportation Table and Chairs and Toybox Giveaway on SerendipityMommy.com. Or don't, because that will decrease my odds of winning. As someone who is new at blogging and contesting, for a lack of a better word, I think this is how you do it. A great prize that is in demand (look at the number of entries so far!) because it is a great product. I'll be keeping my eye on this site for sure!

Time to Revive
It's been a while, baby! Thinking about what it means to be a mommy blogger, and wondering if I should get this puppy going again.

Dexter had his two-month check-up yesterday, at 10 weeks old. He took his shots like a champ. I took his shots like a champ too, didn't cry at all. His weight is up to 12 pounds, 13 ounces, and he's now 25" long. I think this is giving his father false hope that we will have a tall kid, which is not very likely. I've already been packing up clothes that no longer fit him, which is a little sad. Not just because some of the stuff still has tags on it, but because he's not a tiny little guy anymore. Even though the first few weeks were miserable, I'm nostalgic for the itty baby sleeping on my chest. So nostalgic, in fact, that I'm already thinking of names for #2, but that's a long way off.

Dexter on the Blue Line
Baby's first ride on public transportation. There's not a blank for this in the baby book, so I thought I'd mark the occasion here.
Baby's Got a Brand New Blog!
Dexter's got a home on the web. Until he's old enough to type, though, Mama will post for him.
